yua series

With today’s rapid and extraordinary advancements in artificial intelligence creating equal parts excitement and panic, it feels more important than ever to make our spaces as tactile and human as possible. This is where talented interior designers come to the fore – they help us not just appreciate the spaces we inhabit but physically interact with them. Nothing digital will ever compete with the perfect fluffiness of a loved sofa cushion, the way an old chair supports a tired back or how we smile when we see our favourite coffee mug every morning.

At blomus, we design for life – real life. We create furniture and design objects that marry form with function and that our customers will happily keep for years and years. After all, we need to nurture and respect our creativity and imagination; they’re part of what makes us human. We could all benefit from getting away from phone and computer screens more often – finding inspiration in museums and galleries, browsing library stacks, spending time in nature just for the joy of it.

This spring, we’re celebrating our outdoor spaces with several new products – a complete outdoor furniture range to transform any garden, terrace or patio into the perfect place to gather friends and family; stunning lamps to light up those lively summer parties; and even a series of outdoor rugs to soften your terrace – what a great place for a spot of morning yoga. We believe that our gardens are extensions of our homes, so we should make them just as luxurious and comfortable.

Welcome to the new season.

Behind the scenes - Spring / Summer Collection 2024

Driven by passion

kuon furniture series

This season, we are stepping into a brand-new terrain: furniture design. We are happy to be able to launch three new series of chairs, sofas and pouffes that will work as harmonious ensembles in the living room or lounge, or as significant stand-alone pieces in the bedroom, kitchen or hall. And as with any blomus item, these new pieces of furniture are the end result of a lengthy creative process and endless conversations about function, aesthetics and style, along with a relentless effort to get a shape, a material or a seemingly insignificant detail just right. Because it matters who and what you invite into your private world – after all, to most people, home is not just a space. It’s a feeling.

The new Volos ensemble of side tables and coffee tables is crafted from the finest solid travertine stone that comes in two natural colour variants. Designed by German Sebastian Herkner, the tables have either a rounded or a softly squared top that sits on four elegant oval legs, the shape of which adds an intriguing playfulness as it shifts subtly with each change in perspective.

The simplicity of the Volos tables reflects the unadorned beauty of the natural travertine. The name Volos not only is a nod to the town in Greece of the same name but also cleverly suggests the concept of volume, encapsulating the essence of this unique collection.

sitta series

The Sitta sofa and bench, masterfully crafted by Swedish designer Anton Björsing in his debut for blomus, embody a traditionally rooted yet restrained and minimalistic design philosophy. Fully upholstered with a classic, refined bouclé, the pieces exude a distinct softness that contrasts beautifully with their clean, straight lines.

Inspired by the seamless merging of function and aesthetics of the Scandinavian design tradition, the Sitta sofa and bench are versatile in nature, making them perfectly at home almost anywhere, from the cosy living room to the welcoming hallway, the chic walk-in-closet or even a well-furnished kitchen corner.

Do you look around and see clutter everywhere? Need a more practical way to store your things? Then look no further than our new Redo storage boxes – they’ll give you somewhere to organize all those odd items, and you’ll feel like you suddenly have so much extra space.

With three size options available, you can choose the right Redo storage boxes to suit your needs, whether you’re decluttering a desk or shelving unit or giving your children somewhere to keep their toys. Designed by Robin Scholtysik for blomus, the Redo boxes are crafted from 100% recycled paper pulp, so they’re not only lightweight and stackable but also as good for the environment as they are for your sense of serenity and calm.

Endless possibilities

yua series

Today, outdoor spaces – balconies, roof terraces and gardens alike – are being graced with the same attention as our indoor rooms. To celebrate this, Florian Kallus and Sebastian Schneider, of German kaschkasch, have designed a complete garden furniture collection comprising a dining table and two smaller café tables, with chairs to match, plus lounge chairs and lower tables to sit beside them, and even a bench. Called Yua, the range is characterised by delicately curved flat surfaces built around structural tubes, and effortlessly marries functionality with elegant style.

The variety of pieces available within the Yua collection means you can curate your outdoor space to suit your own needs. If al fresco dining is your passion, the range includes a large dining table and a choice of round or rectangular bistro tables. Available in two shades – Silk Grey and Granite Grey – the matching chairs come in flat steel (Yua) and wired (Yua Wire) variants and can easily be stacked and combined and used with cushions designed to fit the seats perfectly. Choose to have them with or without armrests, or why not opt for some of each? Included in the Yua range are also loungers – also available in either flat steel (Yua) or wire (Yua Wire) variations – and, to go with them, lower tables – perfect for resting that after-dinner coffee.

Yua – which means connectedness in Japanese – is part of a larger assortment of outdoor furniture by German kaschkasch for blomus which also includes outdoor daybeds, tables and lighting.

stay series

Stay, the highly successful outdoor range by German design duo kaschkasch, is growing. An extra set of two comfortable outdoor furniture items have been added for this season – a chic, slightly smaller daybed and a relaxed lounger that is larger than the existing model launched last season.

As with the rest of the series, the two newcomers are made from a high-quality weather-resistant textile that does not fade when exposed to sunlight and is easy to maintain. The modern, minimal design allows for personalization when you add pillows and throws of your choice, and the lightweight materials make the furniture easy to move around to create the ideal outdoor setting on your terrace or in your garden or patio.
