The IRIS table lamp in gunmetal creates stylish lighting accents and gives living spaces a calm, elegant atmosphere. With its striking shape and refined colorway, it quickly becomes an expressive focal point on a sideboard, side table, or bedside table.

Made from glass, aluminum, textile, and plastic, the lamp combines high-quality materials with everyday practicality. Measuring 24 x 32 cm, it has a strong presence without dominating the room. The generous glass shade is especially fascinating: its delicate air inclusions softly diffuse the light and create an almost floating depth. The result is a captivating light effect that can be adjusted to suit the moment: three light colors and a dimming function provide the right illumination, from a relaxed evening to focused work. The knurled rotary knob adds a subtle tactile accent and makes operation especially pleasant.

Designed by Sebastian Herkner, IRIS combines a handcrafted feel with modern clarity. The lamp translates his distinctive formal language into a poetic object that places light and material at the center. As part of the IRIS series, it brings its unmistakable aesthetic, defined by depth and transparency, impressively into the interior.

About

German Sebastian Herkner (born 1981) pursued Product Design at HfG Offenbach University of Art and Design. During this time, he honed his flair for materials, colours and textures, with a growing focus on designing furniture and objects. A brief stint at Stella McCartney in London added to his experience.

In 2006, Herkner established a studio in his own name. Since then, he's created furniture, lighting and smaller pieces for global brands, as well as undertaking interior architecture projects and museum and exhibition design. His remarkable work has garnered numerous awards, including the IF Award, the Iconic Award and the Elle Deco International Design Award (EDIDA).

Herkner was the Guest of Honour at imm cologne 2016, where he shaped the exhibition ‘Das Haus’. In 2019, Maison&Objet named him Designer of the Year, and in 2021 he clinched Milan's most prestigious design accolade, the EDIDA award for Best Designer of the Year. In 2022, he curated alongside luminaries like Robert Wilson, Judith Clarke, Michele de Lucchi and Naoto Fukasawa at Homo Faber, commissioned by the Michelangelo Foundation in Venice.
