Snack Plate - SABLO - Color Stone - Size S brings a natural-looking, subtly speckled appearance to the table. The combination of gray and beige tones gives the ceramic plate a calm, understated look. A partially applied glaze accentuates the interplay of soft and rough surfaces, making the design interesting to the touch as well.
With its compact size, the plate is ideal for arranging and serving snacks and small dishes. Subtle color variations, as well as individual textures and shading, characterize the appearance of each piece. This gives the plate a distinctive character without making it visually dominant.
Designed by Frederike Martens, the collection combines an organic-looking aesthetic with clear, understated forms. The SABLO snack plate is dishwasher- and microwave-safe, making it easy to use every day. As part of the SABLO series, it features the collection’s characteristic color palette, speckled finish, and partially glazed surface.

About
Trained as an industrial designer with a particular emphasis on glass and ceramics at the Design School in Halle, Germany, Frederike Martens (born 1987) has a rare talent for pure and strikingly simple shapes, and a preference for colours that will stand the test of time. With her impeccable sense of balance and proportion, Frederike work displays a special sensitivity to how materials work, both alone and together. However, for the young designer the practical usability of any given item is equally important. The Sablo tableware line, comprising 18 distinct items, was her first design project for blomus – and has now been followed up by the Ceola vase.

Our SABLO series is made of high-quality stoneware, with different colors that can be beautifully combined with one another.
Stoneware is made from clay, quartz, or minerals such as calcite and belongs to the group of ceramic products. Typical items made from stoneware include plates, bowls, planters, and dishes, which are shaped through a casting process and fired at very high temperatures ranging from about 970 to 1320 degrees Celsius. Thanks to this intense firing process, stoneware is more durable than regular clay and less translucent than porcelain. The final colors are strongly influenced by the firing temperature and duration, giving each piece its own individual structure and unique shading.
Since stoneware is not naturally waterproof, it is usually glazed. This makes it stable, durable, and perfectly suitable for everyday use – as is the case with our SABLO products. However, slight cutlery marks may appear on stoneware items over time. This is not a defect but a completely natural process, as the glaze is fired at a lower temperature than the ceramic body underneath.
Our SABLO tableware is dishwasher safe and can also be used in the microwave.
