The SABLO salad bowl in the Savannah color brings natural warmth and understated modernity to the table. As a size M salad bowl, it is ideal for fresh leafy salads, bowls, side dishes, or fruit, and presents food in a stylish way.
Made from high-quality ceramic, it impresses with a distinctive material effect: the softly speckled surface, delicate color nuances, and the interplay of glazed and unglazed areas give each piece its own unique character. The warm Savannah tone sits between beige and gentle natural shades and can be combined in many ways with light, dark, or colored dinnerware. In everyday use, the bowl stands out thanks to its pleasant feel as well as its suitability for the dishwasher and microwave.
SABLO was designed by Frederike Martens, whose design approach combines natural textures with a clear formal language. The result is a piece of tableware that has a handcrafted feel without appearing rustic, and subtly enriches modern table culture.
Combined with other bowls, plates, and serving pieces from the SABLO series, it creates a harmonious overall look for everyday use and special occasions.

About
Trained as an industrial designer with a particular emphasis on glass and ceramics at the Design School in Halle, Germany, Frederike Martens (born 1987) has a rare talent for pure and strikingly simple shapes, and a preference for colours that will stand the test of time. With her impeccable sense of balance and proportion, Frederike work displays a special sensitivity to how materials work, both alone and together. However, for the young designer the practical usability of any given item is equally important. The Sablo tableware line, comprising 18 distinct items, was her first design project for blomus – and has now been followed up by the Ceola vase.

Our SABLO series is made of high-quality stoneware, with different colors that can be beautifully combined with one another.
Stoneware is made from clay, quartz, or minerals such as calcite and belongs to the group of ceramic products. Typical items made from stoneware include plates, bowls, planters, and dishes, which are shaped through a casting process and fired at very high temperatures ranging from about 970 to 1320 degrees Celsius. Thanks to this intense firing process, stoneware is more durable than regular clay and less translucent than porcelain. The final colors are strongly influenced by the firing temperature and duration, giving each piece its own individual structure and unique shading.
Since stoneware is not naturally waterproof, it is usually glazed. This makes it stable, durable, and perfectly suitable for everyday use – as is the case with our SABLO products. However, slight cutlery marks may appear on stoneware items over time. This is not a defect but a completely natural process, as the glaze is fired at a lower temperature than the ceramic body underneath.
Our SABLO tableware is dishwasher safe and can also be used in the microwave.
