Fabriquée en verre, aluminium, textile et plastique, la lampe combine des matériaux de haute qualité avec une praticité quotidienne. Mesurant 24 x 32 cm, elle a une forte présence sans dominer la pièce. L'abat-jour en verre généreux est particulièrement fascinant : ses délicates inclusions d'air diffusent doucement la lumière et créent une profondeur presque flottante. Le résultat est un effet lumineux captivant qui peut être ajusté en fonction du moment : trois couleurs de lumière et une fonction de gradation fournissent la bonne illumination, d'une soirée détendue à un travail concentré. Le bouton rotatif cannelé ajoute un accent tactile subtil et rend l'utilisation particulièrement agréable.
Conçue par Sebastian Herkner, IRIS combine une sensation artisanale avec une clarté moderne. La lampe traduit son langage formel distinctif en un objet poétique qui place la lumière et le matériau au centre. En tant que partie de la série IRIS, elle apporte son esthétique indéniable, définie par la profondeur et la transparence, de manière impressionnante dans l'intérieur.

À propos
German Sebastian Herkner (born 1981) pursued Product Design at HfG Offenbach University of Art and Design. During this time, he honed his flair for materials, colours and textures, with a growing focus on designing furniture and objects. A brief stint at Stella McCartney in London added to his experience.
In 2006, Herkner established a studio in his own name. Since then, he's created furniture, lighting and smaller pieces for global brands, as well as undertaking interior architecture projects and museum and exhibition design. His remarkable work has garnered numerous awards, including the IF Award, the Iconic Award and the Elle Deco International Design Award (EDIDA).
Herkner was the Guest of Honour at imm cologne 2016, where he shaped the exhibition ‘Das Haus’. In 2019, Maison&Objet named him Designer of the Year, and in 2021 he clinched Milan's most prestigious design accolade, the EDIDA award for Best Designer of the Year. In 2022, he curated alongside luminaries like Robert Wilson, Judith Clarke, Michele de Lucchi and Naoto Fukasawa at Homo Faber, commissioned by the Michelangelo Foundation in Venice.
