Garden torches by blomus

Garden torches for every purpose in our online shop

We carry different torches that you can place on your terrace or in your garden. When buying, you need to pay attention to different points, which we will go into in more detail below. Basically, a distinction is made between torches that are stuck into the ground and those that are attached to a railing.

What to look for when buying torches for the garden

The fuel

Before buying, the first thing to consider is what fuel will be used. In most models, the wick is soaked in paraffin, a thick lamp oil. This fuel is very flammable and is perfect for stainless steel torches in the garden.

If there are children in the household, simply use a much safer version that is filled with a vegetable-based lamp oil.

The material

The garden torches from our online shop are made of stainless steel. This material has several practical advantages when used outdoors. It cannot rust, has a noble design and is also very robust and resistant. Rain, snow, hail and wind cannot harm it. The models in our shop come in a wide range of lengths, so you should think carefully about which version you choose.

Besides stainless steel, the materials aluminium and plastic are often used to make a garden torch. They are both very light and therefore easy to transport. However, plastic has the disadvantage that it is not particularly robust and therefore not as durable as stainless steel. On the other hand, these torches are much cheaper. Therefore, take your time to think about which characteristics a torch should have for you.

The length of the garden torch

We offer a wide range of garden torches in various lengths. If you want to brighten up your garden, then choose versions that are one or 1.20 metres long. If, on the other hand, you only want to create a discreet flame, our versions that are close to the ground are suitable. We also have some garden torches in special sizes. So take your time to look around or contact us if you have any questions.

The wick

The wick of the garden torch should be as robust as possible and last a long time. Most versions are made of glass fibre, as this material has the above-mentioned properties. Ideally, a replacement wick is included in the delivery so that the torch can still be used if the original wick has burnt out.

The fuel container

Another important point to consider when buying a new garden torch is the fuel container. The designs from our online shop have different colours and are made of different materials. Some of them are coloured in such a way that they showcase the flame in the best possible way and thus create a warm and soothing light on the terrace, balcony or even in the garden. As a rule, the following materials are used:
- coloured glass
- clear glass
- metal

Here, too, your personal wishes and ideas play a decisive role. It looks very nice if you combine several designs with each other and thus create a unique light from several flames in your garden or on your balcony.

How do you fix garden torches?

Garden torches made of stainless steel can be fixed in different ways. Sometimes a ground spike is included in the delivery, with which you can easily stick the lamps into the ground in the garden. Make sure that the torch is placed as straight as possible. This will prevent it from tipping over and its flame will produce an even light. Other versions, on the other hand, are attached to a railing or other objects. We always provide you with the appropriate utensils for this purpose.

Soon you will enjoy a pleasant and soothing light and a beautiful flame in your garden or on your terrace.
