Product description
The furniture is deliberately round and soft, but with smooth edges. The designer's intention was to convey a sense of security and comfort by using high, supportive backrests behind which you can almost hide when you are sitting. Typically for Kazushige Miyake's aesthetic, nothing is left to chance. The elegant, fully upholstered backrest of the sofa, chaise lounge and armchair ensures that the furniture looks stunning in any location.
Kuon is available in a range of bouclé upholstery colors.
Designer: Kazushige Miyake
About
Japanese designer Kazushige Miyake (b. 1973) graduated from Tama Art University in Tokyo with a specialization in design. He then began his career as a product designer in Great Britain before returning to Japan in 1999.
In 2005, he founded his own design studio. Today, Miyake Design is synonymous with clear and functional product design, from lounge chairs to suitcases, always with the discerning consumer in mind. Miyake favors simplicity and straightforwardness in his designs, and believes that every object has its own form.
This form is not limited to its physical presence, but also includes the aura or atmosphere that surrounds the object and its effect on those who use it.
Kazushige Miyake has received a number of prestigious design awards, including the iF Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award and the Good Design Award. Today, he is a member of the evaluation committees for both the Good Design Award and the iF Design Award.

Care Instruction:
As precautions, sharp or pointed objects such as keys, edged toys, or jewelry should be kept away from the fabric to prevent damage. If a loose stitch or thread appears, it can usually be guided back into the fabric with a blunt object, but pulling or cutting should be avoided as this may worsen the damage. It is also important to note that new denim clothing can cause permanent discoloration, particularly on light or medium-colored fabrics, as the dye may transfer through body heat. Such discolorations are irreversible.
