Product description
on display or a minimalist who prefers everything to be tucked
away behind closed doors, good storage is fundamental to any
well-functioning space. The good news is that there is something
for everyone with German designer Andreas Kowalewski’s simply
styled Tiggy storage baskets – the perfect fusion of aesthetic
qualities and practical considerations.
Designed in a soft felt material, the storage baskets are a visually
pleasing addition to almost any room, and with two available sizes
– a large version perfect as a laundry basket and a smaller version
handy for storing magazines or wood for the fireplace – there
is one to suit every need. The baskets have practical carrying
handles in the simple shape of cut-out circles, which emphasise
their clean silhouette, and just like the matching Herba storage
containers, they come in two unique colour combinations: a classic
beige/soft white and a muted terracotta/sand.

About
Berlin-born designer Andreas Kowalewski (born 1976) trained in carpentry before embarking on product design, and after attaining his degree in industrial design from the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, he worked for ten years at the renowned Philips Design in Amsterdam.
Today, the work of Andreas Kowalewski includes both product and furniture design as well as strategic design consulting. In 2017, he founded a studio in his own name and began working with wellknown brands and manufacturers both in Germany and beyond, always with the aim of creating contemporary and meaningful products for everyday use by reducing complexity in both form and function. These collaborations have garnered several international design awards, and in 2021, Andreas Kowalewski was appointed visiting professor at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design, Germany.
This season, Andreas Kowalewski debuts for blomus with a series of practical storage items for both the home office and the living room, bedroom and bathroom.
