Product description
On a coffee table, it presents fruit just as attractively as it does on a kitchen countertop. Even when empty, its distinctive design makes an impression, allowing it to serve as a decorative bowl and an independent accent in the room. Its flowing contour and dark metallic tone create a balanced interplay of simple design and expressive presence.
In size S, this deep bowl is ideal for carefully curated decorative arrangements without appearing overpowering. Its color, material, and form create a harmonious overall look that blends seamlessly and elegantly into a range of interiors. As part of the ONDEA bowl series, this model embodies the collection’s characteristic curved design.
Designer: Nicolai Fuhrmann
About
Nicolai Pierre Fuhrmann (born 1966) graduated from the Braunschweig University of Art with a degree in industrial design. He spent his first years lending his talents to a number of independent design studios – The Jorge Pensi Design Studio in Barcelona, Continuum in Milan and Milani in Zurich – before returning to his native Germany to set up his own Cologne-based studio in 2004.
Fuhrmann’s work focuses on products with a purpose, and his designs must have a practical use as well as functioning in such a way as to encapsulate the concept of movement as both visual expression and bodily experience. He designs his pieces so as to create seamless interaction between product and user – to Fuhrmann, functionality and focus on detail are equally important.
