Made from matt-glazed ceramic, VELA impresses with a pleasantly soft feel and a high-quality, pared-back appearance. The flat version in size M offers a stable base while also leaving room for small decorative accents, while the raised base subtly highlights the candle. Practical for everyday use: the wide saucer shape reliably catches any wax and protects delicate surfaces.
VELA was designed by Nina Thöming, who combines functional clarity with a soft, homely design language. The result is a design object that doesn’t shout, but creates atmosphere—whether placed on its own or combined harmoniously with others.
As part of the VELA series, the candle holder can be arranged in many ways with other colors and sizes, and suits both modern, minimalist interiors and warm, cozy living spaces.

About
Designer Nina Thöming (b. 1984) is an employee of the German design studio Flöz Design, which has been a reliable partner of Blomus for 15 years. With a background in industrial design, Nina Thöming works systematically.
She starts her work process with research and by finding out the requirements and needs of the market. This is followed by the creative process of applying this knowledge to beautiful, but also functional, interior design items. The Pilar tableware series and the Sono bathroom accessories are her previously known products for blomus.
