Product description
Made from soft felt, this accessory brings a cozy, warm touch to the home office and workplace. The material helps protect delicate surfaces, has a subtle sound-dampening effect, and gives the workspace a pleasant feel. The two-tone design in Fungi and Micro Chip adds a subtle accent without drawing attention to itself, and blends effortlessly with both modern and classic interior styles.
HERBA was designed by Andreas Kowalewski, who combines practical organization with a clear, contemporary design language. The result is an object that is not only useful, but also intentionally and thoughtfully designed.
The pen cup is especially effective when combined with other elements from the HERBA series, which can be flexibly mixed and matched to create a harmonious, well-conceived sense of order in the workplace.
Designer: Andreas Kowalewski
About
Andreas Kowalewski (b. 1976) was born in Berlin and trained as a carpenter before turning to product design. After graduating from the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen with a degree in industrial design, he worked for the renowned Philips Design company in Amsterdam for ten years.
Today, Andreas Kowalewski's work encompasses both product and furniture design, as well as strategic design consultancy. In 2017, he founded his own studio and began working with well-known brands and manufacturers in Germany and abroad, always with the aim of creating contemporary and useful products for everyday use by reducing complexity in form and function.
These collaborations have been recognized with several international design awards and in 2021 Andreas Kowalewski was appointed as a guest professor at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, Germany.
This season, Andreas Kowalewski is making his debut at Blomus with a series of practical storage items for both the home office and the living room, bedroom and bathroom.
