Product description
Made from felt, the tray feels pleasantly soft while also creating a calm, homely atmosphere. The material protects delicate surfaces, while the softly shaped edges and two-tone design in Rustic Brown / Tan give the accessory a warm, modern look. Size XS really shows its strength in smaller spaces: it adds subtle structure without taking up much room.
HERBA was designed by Andreas Kowalewski, who combines functionality and clear design in an elegant way. The pared-back design blends harmoniously into a wide range of living and work spaces and deliberately relies on a soft, inviting visual language.
As part of the HERBA series, the storage tray can be combined in many ways and complements other sizes to create a thoughtful, cohesive organization system with a distinctive design appeal.
Designer: Andreas Kowalewski
About
Andreas Kowalewski (b. 1976) was born in Berlin and trained as a carpenter before turning to product design. After graduating from the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen with a degree in industrial design, he worked for the renowned Philips Design company in Amsterdam for ten years.
Today, Andreas Kowalewski's work encompasses both product and furniture design, as well as strategic design consultancy. In 2017, he founded his own studio and began working with well-known brands and manufacturers in Germany and abroad, always with the aim of creating contemporary and useful products for everyday use by reducing complexity in form and function.
These collaborations have been recognized with several international design awards and in 2021 Andreas Kowalewski was appointed as a guest professor at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, Germany.
This season, Andreas Kowalewski is making his debut at Blomus with a series of practical storage items for both the home office and the living room, bedroom and bathroom.
