The deep serving platter -SABLO- in the color Cloud and size S is an elegant serving platter for small dishes, snacks, side dishes, or fine desserts. Its soft gray-beige tone brings calm to the table setting and makes food look especially natural.
Made from high-quality stoneware, the deep shape impresses with practical versatility: saucy dishes, antipasti, or fruit can be served securely without losing any lightness in presentation. The special material blend with mineral components provides a pleasantly authentic, natural feel. Partially glazed surfaces meet a fine, lively texture, giving each piece its own unique nuances. The serving platter is dishwasher- and microwave-safe, making it ideal for everyday use as well as for thoughtfully arranged table moments.
Designed by Frederike Martens, SABLO combines a handcrafted look with modern restraint. The design is defined by the balance of soft forms, natural surfaces, and functional appeal.

About
Trained as an industrial designer with a particular emphasis on glass and ceramics at the Design School in Halle, Germany, Frederike Martens (born 1987) has a rare talent for pure and strikingly simple shapes, and a preference for colours that will stand the test of time. With her impeccable sense of balance and proportion, Frederike work displays a special sensitivity to how materials work, both alone and together. However, for the young designer the practical usability of any given item is equally important. The Sablo tableware line, comprising 18 distinct items, was her first design project for blomus – and has now been followed up by the Ceola vase.

Our SABLO series is made of high-quality stoneware, with different colors that can be beautifully combined with one another.
Stoneware is made from clay, quartz, or minerals such as calcite and belongs to the group of ceramic products. Typical items made from stoneware include plates, bowls, planters, and dishes, which are shaped through a casting process and fired at very high temperatures ranging from about 970 to 1320 degrees Celsius. Thanks to this intense firing process, stoneware is more durable than regular clay and less translucent than porcelain. The final colors are strongly influenced by the firing temperature and duration, giving each piece its own individual structure and unique shading.
Since stoneware is not naturally waterproof, it is usually glazed. This makes it stable, durable, and perfectly suitable for everyday use – as is the case with our SABLO products. However, slight cutlery marks may appear on stoneware items over time. This is not a defect but a completely natural process, as the glaze is fired at a lower temperature than the ceramic body underneath.
Our SABLO tableware is dishwasher safe and can also be used in the microwave.
