The SABLO salt & pepper shaker in Cloud offers an elegant alternative to the salt and pepper mill and a stylish solution for the laid table. In the soft Cloud color, it blends harmoniously into modern table settings while adding a subtle, handcrafted accent.
Made from high-quality stoneware, the shaker impresses with a pleasantly natural feel and sturdy quality for everyday use. The finely speckled surface and partial glazing give each piece slight variations, creating an individual character. Whether at breakfast, dinner, or a relaxed meal with guests, salt and pepper are always within easy reach and presented in an appealing way.
Designed by Frederike Martens, the design combines clear forms with a sensual material quality. The contrast of soft color, mineral texture, and matte as well as glazed surfaces gives the shaker a calm, timeless presence.
As part of the SABLO series, the salt & pepper shaker can be especially beautifully combined with matching plates, bowls, and other table accessories.

About
Trained as an industrial designer with a particular emphasis on glass and ceramics at the Design School in Halle, Germany, Frederike Martens (born 1987) has a rare talent for pure and strikingly simple shapes, and a preference for colours that will stand the test of time. With her impeccable sense of balance and proportion, Frederike work displays a special sensitivity to how materials work, both alone and together. However, for the young designer the practical usability of any given item is equally important. The Sablo tableware line, comprising 18 distinct items, was her first design project for blomus – and has now been followed up by the Ceola vase.

Our SABLO series is made of high-quality stoneware, with different colors that can be beautifully combined with one another.
Stoneware is made from clay, quartz, or minerals such as calcite and belongs to the group of ceramic products. Typical items made from stoneware include plates, bowls, planters, and dishes, which are shaped through a casting process and fired at very high temperatures ranging from about 970 to 1320 degrees Celsius. Thanks to this intense firing process, stoneware is more durable than regular clay and less translucent than porcelain. The final colors are strongly influenced by the firing temperature and duration, giving each piece its own individual structure and unique shading.
Since stoneware is not naturally waterproof, it is usually glazed. This makes it stable, durable, and perfectly suitable for everyday use – as is the case with our SABLO products. However, slight cutlery marks may appear on stoneware items over time. This is not a defect but a completely natural process, as the glaze is fired at a lower temperature than the ceramic body underneath.
Our SABLO tableware is dishwasher safe and can also be used in the microwave.
